Operation tide pool

Yesterday I made my way out to the west coast in the beautiful sunny weather we had. I first went to French beach and then continued on to China beach. At my first stop at French beach I had lunch and then explored the tide pools left behind at the North end of the beach.

Next I stopped at China beach. China beach is accessed though a short walk though old growth coastal

forests which are simply amazing.

Once you get to the beach it is no less spectacular, since it is quite a way from any towns it is never as busy as French beach which is closer and you don’t have to walk for 10 minutes to get to it.

Hope to get out to this area quite a bit this summer as I love you spending time at the beach and now it is much closer to me than before.

Flickr Updates

If you are a Flickr user you are bound to have noticed but if not they added the ability to add 90 second videos if you are a pro user. I can see why Flickr did this, they already have a large base of creative talent and I can see why they would like to capitalize on this but it has seemed to have annoyed much of the current users. Flickr was a site for photographers to share photos. Sure maybe some photographers take video as well but there are already places you can host this. I can see how Flickr (Yahoo) is trying to create a place for people to put more serious and user created video that would be of higher quality than else where but it should have been separate or at least allow users to filter out videos if they do not wish to see them. It will be interesting to see how this plays out and if this service is better adopted over time or if Flickr will make some changes. We will have to wait and see. That was not the only update though, the max image size has been upped as well, for free users you can now upload a 10MB file while pro users can upload a 20MB file.

Accident!

Well as I got to work today I was greeted with lots of flashing lights, and the road to where I park blocked off. I finally managed to park but I thought I would get a few pictures. Looks like a car pulled out of a road and was t-boned by the truck which ended up crashing into a utility pole and though someone garden and fence.
