This month I have been watching a lot of sunset and there have been some really nice ones. As summer is starting to wind down I will post a few sunsets from July.
These first few are from Mount Tolmie overlooking Victoria.

This next one is from the Dallas Road areas in Beacon Hill park neat downtown Victoria.

This last one is from Mt. Douglas at Cordova Bay.

This was my last day which involved driving home. Had a few tense momments with my coolant in my car but it was never a real issue, once again an amazing drive where I wish I could have stopped more.
All of these pictures are from going over the Coquihalla.

And one parting photo after getting off the ferry in Victoria.

Day four I didn’t really take any photos, I spent the day looking around Kelowna and Westbank. Day 5 I spent in Peachland exploring the “town center” some more.

And Ashley wanted to take some pictures with bubbles.

And the lake front around sunset.

This was my last day in Peachland, the next day I drove home, but got some decent pictures along the way.

Day 3 I had reached my destination of Peachland and walked around near where I was staying to see what I could find. The only real pictures that turned out where pictures of flowers. The light very harsh and there was a lot of haze which made landscapes near impossible.

First I was say sorry about not updating this sooner things have been crazy busy. Day two started out very early after camping at Mannin park I set off towards penticton. I made as many stops along the way as I could, a lot of the problem was that there was no where to pull over to take pictures which was a real tease becuase I saw some very stunning scenery.
Camp.

This was supposedly a beaver pond, I didn’t see any signs of beavers though.

Much of the road was like this.

I noticed there are a lot of very small parks along the way not like what I am used to with huge parks that you could spend weeks in and not be in the same place.

The next stop was Hedley which was quite a stop. This is a tiny town that used to be a mining town, there was a gold and silver mine that opened in the late 1800’s and closed in the 1950’s. There is much of the old mine left and I wish I had know more about it so I could have gone on a tour but I did not look into until once I got back because I did not know it even existed.

The view of Hedley from a mountain I hiked up the side of to get a closer look at some of the mine stuff. Yes that is the whole town.

I had some extra time to kill so I decided to take the longer route though Osoyoos and on the way I saw the spotted lake. I was not able to get a good picture as it was fenced off and the light was very poor.

I got into Peachland around dinner time. The drive was very nice even though it was very hot, there was very little traffic the whole way except from Summerland to Peachland.
