Ammonite Falls
Posted in Flickr, hiking, landscape, park, photo on January 30th, 2011 by Bryn – Be the first to commentAmmonite falls is one of those place that you can go to and each time you revisit it you are reminded how beautiful the area is. While in Nanaimo for the weekend I made another trip out to the falls and there was a lot of water coming over the falls do the the amount of rain and snow we have had in the past few weeks.
Although the falls are the main attraction the whole area is a fantastic place, when it gets a bit warmer I want to explore above and below the falls a bit more.

Englishman River Falls
Posted in Flickr, hiking, landscape, park, photo on January 15th, 2011 by Bryn – Be the first to commentOver the holidays while visiting family up in the Nanaimo area I made a trip out to Englishman River Falls Provincial Park which is know for its spectacular upper falls. I have not been to this park in sometime and was a nice change of scenery. Due to snowfall and heavy rain the river was pretty high, but not as high as I was expecting.
Looking both up and down the falls, you can see the footbridge on the right that you cross.
Looking up the upper falls.
Although the lower falls are not as spectacular as the upper falls they are still something you don’t want to miss.
Favourites of 2010
Posted in Flickr, landscape, nature, photo, wildlife on January 3rd, 2011 by Bryn – 7 CommentsWell 2010 is over and a new year is here, time to look back at a few of my favourite photos from the past year. I didn’t get to travel as much as I had hoped this year but did manage to make a trip up though BC to Jasper which was a nice change. I am hoping to get to some new locations in 2011 and looking forward to some new experiences.
December Storms
Posted in Flickr, landscape, park, photo on December 12th, 2010 by Bryn – Be the first to commentThe past few days have been a wet and windy affair with heavy rain and winds. Yesterday I was fed up of being inside so I decided to brave the elements and go down to Cattle point. I have to say that there where not many other people out enjoying the weather other than a few people kite boarding I was alone.
