I have realized that I have quite a few pictures of waterfalls from Vancouver Island so I thought I would combine them into one post. These pictures are in no way even being close to a complete list but these are a very of the waterfalls I have seen and have pictures of. Although I have not been to it or have pictures of it I have to mention Della falls which is the tallest waterfall in Canada at 440 meters and is located near Port Alberni, I really hope to be able to make it out to see it sometime.
We will start with Niagra falls which is in Goldstream park just outside of Victoria.
Spring.

Fall.

Winter.

Next we will goto Little Qualicum falls.

And the last stop for now is in Strathcona park.
Lower Myra falls.

Lady Falls.

On Friday I decided to make a trip up to Mt. Washington alpine resort to get some winter pictures in Paradise meadows in Strathcona park. It was a beautiful day with blue skies and just a few clouds. I was surprised there was not more snow but the few feet they had was pretty fresh and very nice. I am hoping to get up a few more times to get more pictures later in the season.

Last week I spent the day hiking around Paradise Meadows in Strathcona park near Mt. Washington alpine resort. As I left it was very overcast and on the way up the mountain there was a thick blanket of fog. Luckily we were able to get above the clouds which made for a nice sunny autumn day. The weather was sunny and crisp and most of the plants were in varying shades of oranges, reds and yellows.

Well you have already seen most of my pictures from Strathcona park, theses last ones are from a few smaller areas that I did not get as many pictures at.
The next two are from Auger Point which survived a forest fire in the 1980’s.

The next few are a few more of Buttle lake.

These next few are of another water fall, this one is called Lady falls and is on the way to Gold River.

That is the end of my pictures from Strathcona, on the weekend I was up at Mt. Washington for the Bearclaw international slope styles mountain biking competition and got lots of pictures so look for those soon!

Myra Creek flows down from Myra lake down to Buttle lake, this creates some very nice waterfalls, I visited both Upper Myra falls and Lower Myra falls. Upper Myra falls was a 2.5 hour hike to see something I was not that impressed by, but Lower Myra falls was amazing and was only a five minute walk in.

I think that is all for waterfalls and streams maybe a few more, just a few more pictures left which I will put up over the weekend. Don’t forget to check out this weeks featured photographer.
