Photographer Phriday: Lunar Eclipse

Since this week we had a lunar eclipse I thought I would share a few of my favourite images from it. The first two are from Snorri Gunnarsson and the third is from Paul Omernik.

Lunar Eclipse

Was lucky enough to catch the full lunar eclipse tonight, if you missed this one you are going to have to wait 2 years before the next full eclipse. If you want to get ready for the next one you can read up on some good tips here and plan out the next eclipse with this cool program from NASA. This program lets you see when all the lunar eclipses have happened and will in the future.

Looking back

This weekend I was back in Nanaimo for my mums birthday and it made me realize what I took for granted before I moved down to Victoria. One of the things I miss most about the Nanaimo area is how accessible the great out doors is. Nanaimo has some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen and they are all very accessible. A ten minute drive can get you to mountains, forests, beaches or all three. It is a great place for out doors activities.

The sun has finally emerged from where is was hiding, I really hope it does not go back into hiding. Now that the days are getting longer I am hoping to be able get more pictures and with the weather getting better (I hope) I will be able to make more trips to make pictures in new locations.
